As the Chelaikalan
is few days away from now the temperature here in Kashmir has gone to below
zero and once again to keep oneself warm the Afghan tradition is the style of
streets in Kashmir. Beautiful caps in the warmth of wool, fur, suede and more
are available in the market with attractive colours. The young men are more
fascinated with this Afghan style caps in these chilli days.
The most famous one
that many big Kashmiri politicians wear is the Karakul made from the fur of the
Qaraqul breed of sheep. The young boys prefer to wear The Pakol cap which is
the traditional hat of Afghanistan and now is the the style of Kashmir.
The Stylish pakol
has been loved worldwide and the style has been adapted in new fabrics and
colors.
The baseball cap
style, the soft and warm woollen fabric bob caps as well have been adapted as
winter caps in Kashmir
Many other winter caps include Cossack hats, The Pom Pom caps or the
conical hats, the round caps and the popular sports cap Golf Caps adapted into
the warm fabric.
