Army raises alarm over repeated aerial violations along LoC and International Border
The Indian Army has issued a strong warning to Pakistan over the increasing number of drone intrusions detected along the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border in Jammu & Kashmir. Senior defence officials confirmed that the matter has been formally taken up with the Pakistani military through established communication channels.
According to security agencies, multiple drones suspected to be operated from across the border have been sighted in recent days, particularly in vulnerable border districts. These drones are believed to be used for dropping arms, ammunition, and narcotics into Indian territory, posing a serious threat to national security.
The Army Chief, while addressing senior commanders, underlined that drone-based infiltration attempts have emerged as a new challenge along the border. He stressed the need for Pakistan to take immediate steps to prevent its soil from being misused for such activities. Indian forces, he said, remain fully prepared to counter any aerial or ground-based threat.
In response to the intrusions, the Army and Border Security Force (BSF) have intensified surveillance operations, deploying advanced anti-drone systems and increasing night patrols in sensitive sectors. Several areas have also been placed under enhanced electronic monitoring.
Officials stated that while infiltration attempts have reduced significantly, the misuse of drone technology has become a preferred tactic for terror groups. Security agencies are working in close coordination to neutralize this evolving threat.
The latest warning reflects India’s continued zero-tolerance policy towards cross-border terrorism and underscores the growing role of technology in modern security challenges along the Kashmir frontier.
