Anantnag Police arrest drug peddler at Siligam Ashmuqam. Contraband Substance recovered from his possession.

    In its continuous efforts against social evils, on a specific information SHO Ashmuqam Mudasir Nazar under the supervision of SDPO Phalgham laid a Naka at Siligam Ashmuqam and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK01V-4077 and during search of the vehicle six bags containing Poppy Straw (Fukki) about 52 kgs recovered from the car.

   In this connection driver of the vehicle namely Kursheed Ahmad Dukdoo S/O Habib ullah Dukdoo Resident of Bijbehara arrested and Vehicle seized. 

    In this connection FIR No. 104/2020 under section 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Ashmuqam and further investigation into the matter has been taken up.

     General Public has applauded the Police action.
