Strongly condemning the continuous imprisonment of Mirwaiz Moulvi Umar Farooq, Mohammad Yasin Malik, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Shabir Ahmad Shah, and other Hurriyat leaders and activists, Chairman Hurriyat Syed Ali Geelani termed it the worst kind of state terrorism.

Mr. Geelani expressed his deep concern over the re-arrest and uses of brutal force against the JKLF chief Mohammad Yasin Malik and arrest of Hurriyat spokesman Ayaz Akbar and APHC Chief Organizer Altaf Ahmad Shah from their respective homes and said that the government is doing such things out of frustration.

Hurriyat Chairman in his press brief said, “we were peacefully protesting against the evil designs of India of setting up of Sainik and Pandit colonies and the new industrial policy. But the government by exhibiting the worst kind of state terrorism and by imprisoning the pro-freedom leaders and activists in jails proved that they have surrendered before the RSS and they will do whatever their masters will command them to do”.

Appealing people of the state pro-freedom leader said, “we have to be united in fight against these wicked policies of the communal forces and for this we have to prepare ourselves on every front”.

He further reiterated his demand for complete election boycott of Islamabad assembly election.
